Nick DjuricAdjunct FacultyMr. Djuric practices primarily in the areas of estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax; wills, trusts and administration of estates; tax controversies; fiduciary litigation; and private foundations. He concentrates on estate planning, including preparation of wills and trust instruments, and on tax and succession planning for closely held businesses. Mr. Djuric has extensive experience with multi-generational estate planning and works closely with private family offices and their teams of professional advisors. Mr. Djuric is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is a frequent lecturer at seminars sponsored by the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. He is a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and the Atlanta Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute; serves as secretary/ treasurer of the Fiduciary Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and chairman of its Legislation Committee; and serves as chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Section of the Atlanta Bar Association. In 2007, he was selected as a “Georgia Super Lawyers Rising Star” and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. Mr. Djuric is also an adjunct professor of law at John Marshall Law School, teaching wills, trusts and estates. Prior to joining Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP, Mr. Djuric clerked for then-Chief Judge Gerald Bard Tjoflat of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. |
