Peter Shedd
In 1977, after graduating from law school, Peter Shedd clerked for Anthony Alaimo, who was then the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia. In 1978, Professor Shedd returned to Athens as a faculty member in the Terry College of Business. He has written numerous articles and books on a variety of commercial law topics. In addition to his teaching and research responsibilities, Professor Shedd has served as the Associate Dean of the Terry College of Business, Executive Assistant to the University President, and as Associate Vice President for Instruciton. He has also been active in numerous university-related committees. In l 994, Professor Shedd was elected to the Executive Committee of the Academy of Legal Studies in Business, and he served as president of the Academy in 1998-99. Since 1995 Professor Shedd has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. Professor Shedd is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the American Arbitration Association. He also is an experienced mediator and arbitrator.
