                                        Interdisciplinary Collaborative Education

This session examines the differences among professional cultures and the differences they make in teaching professional students.  Speakers from various disciplines discuss the goals of interdisciplinary education and provide examples of the range of different learning opportunities at law schools that collaborate with health professionals.  Challenges include navigating different professional cultures and overcoming potential resistance (philosophical or logistical) to integrated and collaborative programs.  Speakers address opportunities for integrating law students into health-related professional environments, and for integrating other health-related graduate students into the law school and legal environments.
