The College of Law is in downtown Atlanta, the heart of one of the country's fastest-growing regions. The Center leverages the advantages of our metropolitan location to work with community partners, governmental units, and national organizations whose work corresponds with the Center's initiatives.
Over five million people live in the Atlanta metropolitan area, reflecting strong economic development and a growing international population. Atlantans live in a scenic setting known for its dogwoods, azaleas, and evergreens. Against this backdrop are numerous recreational options for our students including Braves games, exhibitions at the High Museum of Art, and concerts by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Atlanta is home to many for-profit and not-for-profit health-related businesses and organizations. The Center's downtown location offers students excellent access to law firms, government agencies, state and federal courts, hospitals, consulting firms, managed care organizations, and other legal and health-services enterprises.
"Because Georgia State is just a block from the State Capitol, I was able to attend meetings and talk with lawmakers, staff, and lobbyists almost daily." - Kristin Haynes, Georgia State Law Graduate
