Message from the Director

We are delighted to welcome your interest and participation in our Center for Law, Health & Society. Our educational programs, faculty research, and engagement with our community provide national leadership for health law in the 21st century.

Students can find a wealth of opportunities in our programs for developing the necessary knowledge, skills, and values in health law that are needed to navigate rapidly changing legal and regulatory environments. Students are invited to consider pursuing a concentrated program of health law study through our new certificate program

Our interdisciplinary faculty engage in cutting-edge research that positively impacts the intellectual, social, and political debates in our country over health care and public health. Their scholarship reflects the breadth and depth of their expertise across the dynamic health law field.

The Center is actively engaged with our community. Every year we offer a range of public programs on critical challenges in health that are facing our society. Our Health Law Partnership is a model for innovative community collaboration. We have served as a non-partisan forum where community stakeholders can come together to collaborate to address controversial problems related to the health of individuals and communities.

Please feel free to join us. Whether you are a graduate of the College of Law or a Friend from the community, we are happy to put you on our mailing list to ensure that you know all about our latest events and activities.

Warmest wishes,

Charity Scott, J.D., M.S.C.M.
