MARTA

Travel to the Georgia State station on the East/West rapid rail line. Exit the station onto Piedmont Avenue. Turn right. The College of Law is in the Urban Life Center, located one block from the MARTA station on the left at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Decatur Street. (To reach the Georgia State Student Center, continue on Piedmont Avenue past the Urban Life Center until you reach Gilmer Street. The Student Center is located at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street on the left [west side of Piedmont Avenue].)

Parking

Visitor parking is available for $6.00 in GSU Deck M (entrance on Auditorium Place). Deck M is accessible from Piedmont Avenue heading north.  Directions to Deck M are included after the General Driving Directions.

General Driving Directions

From the North: Take Interstate 75/85 southbound to Exit 248A (M.L. King Jr. Dr.) toward State Capitol / Turner Field. Follow the exit ramp and keep straight at the fork in the ramp at the first light (do not branch right). Follow the road to a slight right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. At the second light, turn right onto Piedmont Ave.

From the South: Take Interstate 75/85 northbound to Exit 246 (Fulton St./Central Ave.) toward Downtown. Take the Fulton Street ramp. Turn right onto Fulton Street. Turn left onto Capitol Avenue. After passing the Capitol on the left, Capitol Avenue turns into Piedmont Avenue.

From the East: Take Interstate 20 westbound to Exit 58A (Capitol Avenue/Downtown) and continue for ½ mile. Turn right onto Capitol Avenue. After passing the Capitol on the left, Capitol Avenue turns into Piedmont Avenue.

From the West: Take Interstate 20 eastbound toward Atlanta and merge onto Interstate 75/85 northbound via Exit 57 toward Chattanooga / Greenville. Continue on 75/85 northbound to Exit 246 (Fulton St./Central Ave.) toward downtown. Take the Fulton Street ramp. Turn right onto Fulton Street. Turn left onto Capitol Avenue. After passing the Capitol on the left, Capitol Avenue turns into Piedmont Avenue.

Directions to Visitor Parking

To park in GSU Deck M: Continue on Piedmont Ave. past Decatur St. and Gilmer Ave. Turn left at the next street, Auditorium Place, and turn left into the first Deck M driveway for visitor parking (indicated by a red ‘visitor parking’ sign). 

Directions to the College of Law from Parking Deck M

Exit Deck M onto Gilmer Street. Cross Gilmer Street and walk south on Piedmont Avenue (in the opposite direction of traffic) to the next corner. The College of Law is in the Urban Life Center on your right at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Decatur Street. After entering the law school, proceed to the first elevator bank and take the elevator to either the 4th floor (for faculty offices, conference rooms, and the general information desk) or the 6th floor (for the Health Law Partnership clinic and conference room).

Directions to the Student Center from Parking Deck M

To reach the Georgia State Student Center, exit Deck M onto Gilmer Street (at the opposite end from the entrance to the deck [south end of deck]). Cross Gilmer Street and the Student Center is located at the intersection of Piedmont Avenue and Gilmer Street.
