The annual Hot Topics in Intellectual Property speaker series has been hosting a variety of speakers and thought leaders in the area of intellectual property since its inception in 2004. Past topics have included Internet governance (Steve Metalitz, president of ICANN), copyright law and media distribution on the Internet (expert panel moderated by CNN tech correspondent Daniel Sieberg), and online advertising and trademark disputes (expert panel including Chris Copp of Intercontinental Hotels).

10th Annual Hot Topics Luncheon

The 10th Annual Hot Topics Luncheon will be at noon, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Georgia State University Student Center.

James E. Malackowski, chair of Ocean Tomo, will discuss “Future of Global IP Markets.”

Malackowski is the chair and chief executive officer of Ocean Tomo LLC,  an integrated Intellectual Capital Merchant Banc™ firm providing financial products and services related to intellectual property.

Ocean Tomo is the founder of the Intellectual Property Exchange International Inc. where Malackowski serves as co-chair. Among other accomplishments, Malackowski is a founding and continuous member of the IP Hall of Fame Academy.
