The Career Services Office offers a number of Employment Directories that are included in our searchable Employer Database for our student and alumni populations. Student and Graduate access to the system requires the use of a MyLaw ID and Password. If you are a Georgia State University College of Law student or College of Law graduate and you do not already have a MyLaw ID and Password, please call the College of Law Technology Help Desk at (404) 413-9111. *Please note that MyLaw IDs are only available to Georgia State University College of Law Students and College of Law Alumni. Your student or alumni status must be verified before a MyLaw ID will be issued. The following are a list of the directories available in hard copy form in our office, however, they are now part of our searchable employer database:
The Metro-Atlanta Law Firms Directory contains a list of law firms in the metro area. The size of the firms vary from 2 to over 100 attorneys on staff. The Metro-Atlanta Small Firms Directory contains a list of only small law firms in the metro area. The size of the firms range from 2 to 25 attorneys on staff. The Mid-Size Firms Directory contains a list of law firms in and outside the metro Atlanta area to include Augusta, Columbus, Macon & Savannah. The size of the firms range from 20 to 60 attorneys on staff. The Georgia N.E.W.S. (North, East, West, and South of the Metro Area) Greater Georgia Law Firms Directory is very comprehensive and includes prospective employer names, contact information, practice areas and websites (whenever available). These firms are located throughout the state and the size of the firms range from 2 to over 50 attorneys. The cities included in this directory are: Albany, Americus, Athens, Augusta, Brunswick, Canton, Carrollton, Cartersville, Columbus, Dalton, Elijay, Fayetteville, Gainesville, Griffin, LaGrange, Macon, McDonough, Morrow, Newnan, Rome, Savannah, Statesboro, Thomasville, Valdosta, Waycross & Woodstock. The State of Georgia Agencies & Departments Directory contains a list of Agencies & Departments under the direct control and management of the State of Georgia. The Georgia State Prosecutor & Defender Offices Directory contains a list of District Attorneys, Solicitor Generals, State Attorney Generals and Public Defenders.
