College of Law Fall Recruitment Program

Atlanta GA, August – October, 2009: student pre-registration deadline: rolling (week by week - see Law College Calendar of Events)
The fall recruitment program consist of Early Interview Week in August (10 -14) and Traditional Fall Recruiting from September 8 through October 16. The program consists of On-Campus Interview (OCI), Resume Forward (RF) and Direct Contact (DC) employers. Employers are traditionally from large and medium firms, government agencies with honor programs, and, some corporations. Positions are for summer and post-graduation. Open to 2Ls and 3Ls.

Equal Justice Works Career Fair & Conference

Spring differs from the fall recruitment program in that it is a smaller more informal recruitment program but also consists of On-Campus Interview (OCI), Resume Forward (RF) and Direct Contact (DC) employers. Employers are traditionally from small and medium firms, government agencies, legal aid offices, non-profit organizations and, some corporations. Positions are for summer and post-graduation. Open to 1Ls, who will have completed all first year courses by summer, 2Ls and 3Ls.

Atlanta Bar Association Minority Clerkship Program

Atlanta GA , February 2010; student pre-registration deadline: January 2010 (specific dates TBA)
A recruitment program primarily consisting of large Atlanta firms and sponsored by the Atlanta Bar Association. Positions are for summer law clerks. Open to all 1Ls, who will have completed all first year courses by summer. 1Ls P/T will be eligible next year.

Public Sector Career Fair

Atlanta, GA, February 2010; student pre-registration deadline: January 2010 (specific dates TBA)
This career fair typically hosts 50+ public interest and public service employers and is a joint program sponsored by Georgia State, Emory, Mercer and University of Georgia. The fair's components include pre-scheduled private interviews, panel discussion, and table talk interviews. Jobs are for summer and post-graduation. Open to 1Ls, 2Ls and 3Ls.

Annual Small Firms Exchange Program

Atlanta, GA, February, 2010
An informal recruitment program designed to introduce small firms to students and for students and employers to exchange information. Great opportunity to learn more about these employers and their hiring needs and practices. It typically includes a resume collection component as part of the program. Open to 1Ls, 2Ls and 3Ls.

Spring Southeast Legal Hiring Conference (ALHC)

Atlanta GA (held here at the College of Law ), March 2010; student pre-registration deadline: February 2010 (specific dates TBA)
An interview program sponsored by ten southeastern law schools. Participating employers traditionally consists of medium and small firms, government agencies and some judges. Positions are usually for summer law clerks and permanent associate positions.
