Law Schools

Which Schools Participate?

Accredited law schools in the National Association for Law Placement (NALP) southeastern region are automatically invited to participate in this fair.

NALP defines the southeastern region as Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and West Virginia.

Registration

Eligible schools will receive email invitations with codes and instructions. Some law schools choose to pay student registration fees for their participating students. If you are interested in pursuing this option, registering for SIPJF or if your school does not receive an invitation, contact the SIPJF coordinator.

The law school registration period takes place before all other groups, so employer lists cannot be released for review in advance. The registration fee of $120 is nonrefundable, regardless of the number of your students who choose to participate. We encourage you to gauge the interest level of your students in advance of submitting your registration materials.

What Happens After Law Schools Register?

  • After law schools register, the employer registration period opens.
  • Once the employer registration period ends, you will receive a Student Participation Form and an Employer List that includes details and application information.
  • Students will have a week to decide, based on the employer list, whether they will participate.
  • Participating students should return the Student Participation Form and the $30 registration fee to your career services office (We recommend using money orders, when possible.)
  • If your law school has decided to cover the student fees, you may pay online by credit card or request an invoice.
  • After the student participation form deadline passes, fees are due along with a Master Student Registration List.
  • Once the information and fees are  received, students may register in the SIPJF Symplicity and bid on employers.
