The Southeastern Intellectual Property Job Fair® is the largest IP job fair in the region. Organized by Career Services Office and the College of Law's Intellectual Property Advisory Board, it is made possible by student volunteers, alumni and staff.
The job fair encompasses all areas of intellectual property from litigation, transactional work, prosecution, and spans across all industries and types of organizations.
A component of SIPJF, the PaTech Program connects students with a patent license or an interest in technical advising with potential intellectual property employers. PaTech employers seek science, engineering or technology students who are interested in new innovations and ideas, have exceptional creative and analytical skills and/or are familiar with intellectual property.
PATech candidates do not need to have a J.D. or be enrolled in law school.
Intellectual Property Advisory Board
The College of Law's Intellectual Property Advisory Board is active in Atlanta's IP community. Its members work in the city's best-known companies and firms and work collaboratively to implement initiatives that connect and prepare students to work in the IP community.
Patent Institute of Training
The Patent Institute of Training provides students with the practical patent drafting experience necessary to enter in the patent industry.
Practising Law Institute
The Practising Law Institute will offer seminars on current issues at this year's job fair. The institute is a nonprofit continuing legal education organization providing cutting-edge information and best practices to the legal community.
