Alumni

Support from Career Services does not stop once you've landed that first job. We make an lifelong commitment to all of our College of Law graduates.

Down the road, you may seek a second, third or fourth job, and we are still here to help you with job leads, alumni connections, and resume and interview skills review.

Staying in Touch
When you change jobs or career status, please contact Career Services and the Alumni Relations office. By keeping us updated with your recent successes, we can better support new and upcoming graduates as they seek internships and employment.

Another way to stay in touch with the College is to return to campus for speaking engagements and other programs, which are valued highly by our students. Please contact us to let us know if you or your company can participate in speaking engagements, on-campus interviews, networking events and job fairs.

The best way to update your status, post job leads and keep in touch is via Symplicity

Employment Assistance and Support Effort (EASE)

The Employment Assistance and Support Effort is a way for our law community to share job leads with students and alumni. To increase the benefit of this program, we request that each graduate try to provide a new job lead at least once per semester, either by notifying the CSO office, or by posting directly to Symplicity.

Career Services will post all job opportunities on Symplicity, which is accessible only to students and alumni with logins. Students and alumni may view all current job postings, which includes positions for experienced attorneys.

Information for Reciprocity Applicants

The Career Services Office at Georgia State University College of Law maintains the following reciprocity policy:

Reciprocal services are available on a one-to-one basis to students and graduates of other ABA-accredited/NALP member law schools who permit Georgia State University students and graduates use of their services. Reciprocity will only be granted to one law school in the state of Georgia.

Requests for reciprocity must be made in writing by a Career Services official two weeks prior to any visit. Requests must include contact information for the student/graduate, including address, and whether requesting in-office or online job posting access. The student/graduate should wait for a copy of our written response before contacting this office. No walk-ins or phone requests will be considered.

Reciprocity is granted for a period of three months and will expire on the date listed in the letter granting reciprocity. If a student is requesting online access their reciprocity will start the day the payment is received. A request for renewal will be treated as a new request.

Reciprocity is not available during fall on-campus recruitment, Aug. 1 through Nov. 1.

Reciprocity services include in office access to employment listings and review of materials in the Career Services Resource Center or the option to access our job postings online for a nominal fee of $25.00. Services do not include participation in on-campus interviews, job fairs, employer mailings, resume referral or counseling. All students/graduates granted reciprocity must sign in at the reception desk in the career services office to have in office access.

Applicants granted reciprocity must state in cover letters to employers that the job listings were provided by Georgia State University College of Law Career Services Office through a reciprocal agreement with their school. Failure to comply will result in revocation of reciprocity privileges.

Subscription to the monthly E-Graduate Job Bulletin is available to graduates of other law schools at any time. The cost is $30.00 for a six month subscription.

Fees for online job posting access or job bulletin subscriptions must be paid by check, made payable to Georgia State University College of Law, Career Services Office, P.O. Box 4037, Atlanta, GA 30302-4037.
