Career Services Office

Paths to Success

Seeking legal employment may be very different than any other type of job search you have experienced. The Career Services Office assists students and alumni in every step of their search by providing guidance and resources, and by helping you research career paths, draft resumes and cover letters, weigh options and achieve goals. College of Law alumni receive lifetime access to CSO services and resources.

Your legal career begins the day you step on campus. It is never too early to begin thinking about where you want to be upon graduation.

Here is a list of the types of services offered by CSO to help you along the way:

  • Individual career counseling (Begins November 1 for entering 1Ls)
  • Career aids and guides
  • Resume and cover letter reviews
  • Career workshops, forums, panel presentations and networking events
  • Symplicity, an on-line recruiting tool for viewing job postings, posting resumes and signing up for interviews and events
  • Fall and spring recruitment programs
  • National and regional job fairs
  • Our Comprehensive Career Services Resource Center, which includes a resource library, employer information files, employment directories and other career publications
  • Reciprocity services that allow students and alumni to use career services facilities at other law schools
