The Black Law Students Association at Georgia State University College of Law strives to articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of Black Law Students while seeking to influence the legal community to bring about meaningful change to meet the needs of the Black community.

BLSA (pronounced bahl - sa) attempts to effectuate these goals by bringing its membership into contact with practicing attorneys in nearly every legal practice area, which provides excellent networking opportunities for Black law students.  BLSA also sponsors informative forums, which address current issues in legal practice and general issues that affect the community at large.

BLSA has been honored with numerous awards for its participation and leadership in various competitive and social activities. BLSA was recognized in 2002 by the College of Law as the "Organization of the Year" for its active leadership in and around the community.
