  Ben F. Johnson Jr. named founding dean. The College of Law opens. Atlanta Journal-Constitution editorial: “GSU law school. Good guys won.” First class - seven students - graduates from college in December. Marjorie F. Knowles named second law school dean. College of Law students win first National Moot Court championship. Henry J. Miller Distinguished Lecture Series established. College expands to four floors of Urban Life Building. The College of Law gains full ABA accreditation. Marjorie Girth named third law school dean. Tax Clinic opens. 10th Anniversary. Supreme Court Justice O’Connor visits college.. College awards first annual Ben F. Johnson Jr. Public Service Award. College of Law gains member- ship in Associa- tion of American Law Schools. Janice Griffith named fourth law school dean. Henry Miller gift endows first chaired professorship. College endowment grows to establish several named scholarships. 20th Anniversary. Supreme Court Justice Ginsburg visits college. 672 students, 40 faculty. College establishes centers for the study of Metro Growth and Law, Health & Society. Steven Kaminshine named fifth law school dean. College establishes in-house clinic for low income children (HeLP).
