Course Description

Legal Bibliography. Instruction in effective legal research skills through lecture and research exercises including the use of library materials, computerized legal research systems, LEXIS and WESTLAW.

First Week Assignment

1. Read pages 177-198 in Federal Legal Research. This includes a few sections of a second chapter. Just go with it. I will explain in class.

2. Create your personal accounts in Westlaw, Lexis, and Bloomberg research services. Account information will be distributed during the IT orientation session. If you missed it or lost your account information contact Librarian Williams.

3. Find and download and/or print the following case in all three research services: 333 N.W.2d 67
