Course Description

Litigation. Prerequisite: Law 6010. Law 6030 must be taken in the same academic year as Law 6010, and after or concurrently with Law 6020. This course provides students with an introduction to the lawyer skills required in representing a client from the initial interview, through discovery and pre-trial motions, to a jury trial. The course is taught by practicing trial lawyers and focuses on skills training. The course combines written assignments and in class performances. The course is graded pass/fail but at least two students in each section will earn a grade of "A" (a 90 or the student's previous semester cumulative average, whichever is higher).
