All Georgia materials (statutes and cases) and problem sets are available on the course website.We will do the handouts the week they are listed.

The book CONTRACT LAW: SELECTED SOURCE MATERIALS includes excerpts from the draft of a proposed revision of Article 2 of the Uniform Commercial Code. Ignore these proposed provisions and do not confuse them with the current UCC Article 2 provisions printed in the first 110 or so pages of the book.

Read all UCC sections that are cited in the text and cases. The same with any Restatement (2d) Contracts sections that are cited in the text, the cases or the syllabus.

There are two student treatises, or "hornbooks," that I recommend: Calamari & Perillo, CONTRACTS, (West Group) and, Farnsworth, CONTRACTS (Little, Brown).

The fall exam counts for 50% of the final grade, the spring exam counts for 50%.  The spring exam is cumulative.  All grading is anonymous.

Attendance at every class is mandatory. Roll will be taken and students who have more than 3 unexcused absences in a semester may not be allowed to take the final exam (i.e., will fail the exam). A student is deemed absent if the student is more than 15 minutes late for class.
