Guest (Visiting)Third-year law students at ABA-accredited law schools who are in good standing may apply as guest students to earn credit for transfer back to their degree-granting institution. Guest students may attend the College of Law for no more than 32 semester hours not to exceed three semesters (including the summer semester). Guest students must comply with the same application procedures as transfer students . (See Transfer procedures ) However, the required dean's letter must reflect permission to attend and under what conditions. A guest student's performance and rank in class at the school previously attended are important factors in the admission process. In addition, guest students must possess credentials comparable to those of the class to which they seek admission. Although the College of Law permits guest students to enroll for the summer semester, applicants should be aware that many courses are limited enrollment and Georgia State students have first priority on enrollment. Since our calendar does not call for an early graduation, we cannot guarantee early grades for guest students in order to meet the graduation deadlines of their home institutions. The deadlines for guest applications are July 1 for fall semester, December 1 for spring semester and April 1 for summer semester.
