Georgia State University College of Law Intellectual Property Scholarships

The College of Law annually awards three scholarships for entering first-year students who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to IP Law.

One of these scholarships covers in-state full-time tuition and mandatory student fees for three years (the first six fall/spring semesters) of attendance at the GSU COL. In the third year, the recipient becomes an IP Fellow and work with an IP faculty in support of their scholarly research. The Fellow will receive a $4000 stipend.

Full tuition scholarship candidates must be available for interview. The recipient of this scholarship will also be expected to be available for meetings and promotional events.

The two other scholarships are partial-tuition scholarships of $2000 for one year. These partial-tuition scholarships are non-renewable.

Applicants should submit a resume and a 500 word statement addressing their interest, commitment and achievements in IP Law. Applicants may also submit up to two letters of recommendation with their statement. A signed and dated Waiver of Confidentiality form, must also be submitted with the application materials.

Acceptance to the Georgia State University College of Law is required to receive the scholarships.

Recipients will be informed of their awards by the beginning of April.
