The College of Law awards the scholarships and tuition waivers listed below to qualified applicants and students. Unless indicated otherwise, applicants are not required to apply for such scholarships and tuition waivers. All applicants, once accepted for admission to the College of Law, are considered for appropriate scholarships and tuition waivers.
Based on merit and offered to a first-year student every three years. The recipient retains the scholarship until graduation.
Awarded to entering first-year students who demonstrate need and high academic achievement. Trustees of the Atlanta Law School Foundation select students. Applications, mailed to selected admitted applicants with their acceptance letters, required.
Awarded to a student in good standing at the College of Law who demonstrates high academic achievement in all real estate-related courses and shows commitment to the highest standards in real estate practice.

Presented to a law student with an outstanding record of achievement in criminal law and criminal procedure courses and a demonstrated commitment to community service.
Awarded to entering first-year students who demonstrate high academic achievement. The recipient retains the scholarship until graduation.
Awarded to a student in good standing at the College of Law who demonstrates superior ability in the area of litigation and advocacy.
Based on merit and offered to a first-year student every three years. The recipient retains the scholarship until graduation.
Five IP scholarships are available:
• One full-tuition scholarship to an entering first-year College of Law student
The full-tuition scholarship covers in-state, full-time tuition and mandatory student fees for three years (the first six fall/spring semesters) of attendance at the GSU COL. In the third year, the recipient also becomes an IP Fellow with the College’s Intellectual Property Advisory Board (IPAB). The fellowship comes with a $4,000 stipend.
• Two partial-tuition scholarships to entering first-year College of Law students
The partial-tuition scholarships are for $1,000 and are non-renewable.
• Two partial-tuition scholarships to upper-level College of Law students
The partial-tuition scholarships are for $1,000 and are non-renewable.

Awarded to a second year student at the College of Law who performed well in the first year and who has demonstrated an interest in labor and employment law. The scholarship is awarded to someone who is under-represented in the legal vommunity.
Based on merit. Named for Professor David Maleski, a founding member of the College of Law faculty.
Awarded to a former collegiate athlete who demonstrates merit and need. Offered to a first-year student every three years. The recipient retains the scholarship until graduation
Awarded to a select number of students in good standing at the College of Law who have an interest in public interest work and have secured a summer legal position with a nonprofit or appropriate governmental agency. The Selection Committee of the College of Law's Public Interest Law Association interviews and selects recipients.
Presented to a law student who demonstrates superior academic achievement in the first-year Property course.
The Trammell Foundation presents this award each year to a student enrolled in the Tax Clinic at the College of Law. Presented to the student who provides the best service to the clinic based on interviewing skills, quality of research and ability to present a case to the Internal Revenue Service.
The College of Law offers a limited number of non-resident tuition waivers to non-resident students who demonstrate high academic achievement. Both first-year students and existing students who are in good standing are eligible.
Students who have completed 32 hours of law study are eligible to apply for Law Research Assistantships. Selected students assist faculty with research. Law Research Assistants are employed on a semester basis and receive a tuition waiver or reduction and a stipend.
Law students who serve as tutors in the College of Law's Academic Enrichment Program, assist in the activities of the Consortium on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution or provide support in the College of Law Tax Clinic are eligible for Law Graduate Teaching Assistantships. Selected students receive a tuition waiver or reduction and a stipend.
