INTERVIEW FORMS (AUSTRALIA)
The Effective Lawyer-Client Communication project is in the process of collaborating with Monash Law School in Melbourne, Australia on expanded use of the ELCC forms for gathering client and lawyer impressions of initial client interviews. This page allows you to try out these forms through an on-line version that reports back to you an analysis of all survey responses provided to date.
If you would like to see a demonstration version of the client survey form recording the client's impressions, and try it out yourself, click here. If you are asked for a password, use "test" (lower case). Do not enter data from real interviews on this "Test" survey form.
If you would like to see a demonstration version of the lawyer's assessment form and try it out yourself, click here. If you are asked for a password, use "test" (lower case). Do not enter data from real interviews on this "Test" survey form.
Print a copy of the screen after completing the survey before clicking on "Done >>" to keep a record of the data you entered. After you select "Done >>", the web site will show a page summarizing all the results in your survey group reported to date.
Please note that the versions used for this demonstration were designed to allow supervising lawyers in a clinic or legal services office to view the client's survey in order to monitor and improve service to the client. The results for this version of the form would only be anonymous to the interviewing lawyer (and the client can authorize release to the interviewing lawyer by checking a box on the survey.) This form is easily modified, however, to make both client and lawyer responses anonymous.
