Hopkins Named New Director of Development
Anne Hopkins has joined Georgia State University College of Law as director of development. Hopkins has worked in the political arena for the past few years, fundraising for various campaigns. Formerly, she was the foundation coordinator for Arby’s Foundation and prior to that she worked as a trade show general contractor with event logistics.
“Anne brings tremendous charisma and energy to the office,” said Ely G. Abbott, assistant dean for development. “We are thrilled to have her on board. As the director of development, Anne will use her talents in coordinating the college’s annual fundraising campaign for the Law Alumni Council, the Law Firm Campaign, Class Gift Campaign and Alumni Affairs.”
A native of South Carolina, Hopkins majored in corporate communications with a minor in hospitality and tourism management at the College of Charleston. She moved to Atlanta in 2004, where she lives with her husband, son and dog.
“I am excited to work hand-in-hand with the development team and the alumni to make the College of Law the best we can for future students,” Hopkins said. “I enjoy getting to know people — learning about where they come from, what they are passionate about, and what makes them unique. My goal is to take those qualities and integrate them into what we do here at the College of Law.”
